  • ​Site members will receive early access to the tuber sale in advance of the Canadian public. Sign up to get the mega juicy news.

  • To keep things straight on our end, our tuber sale is offered strictly ONLINE + shipping to CANADIAN addresses.

  • Prices are for one tuber, with at least one viable growing eye. Not a clump - unless its noted.

  • All of our tubers offered are Havenley farm grown, nothing imported. 

  • Complementary tuber shipping over $300, before tax.

Shopping Cart​​

Items that are in your cart are not reserved until your order is complete and you have received an order number along with a confirmation email. I personally know how frustrating it can be to have items already sell out or gone from your cart upon checkout. I highly encourage you to start a profile and build your wishlist ahead of time, before the sale is live. This will allow you to add to your shopping cart much easier than going through the entire catalogue on the day of the sale. 

Shipping Canada Wide

Our flat rate shipping fee is $28 for dahlia tubers within Canada using Canada Post Flat rate boxes with all their promised bells and whistles. Once your order ships you will receive an email with tracking information. Whoop!

 

We do also offer a local pickup option as part of the checkout process. If you are local to Victoria, please use the "farm pickup" option at checkout. Once the risk of frost has clearly past, we will contact you via email when your order is ready for pickup. 

Combining Orders​

Yes, you bet! You can combine up to 4 orders all which must be under the same name and email address (assuming they will all fit. If you are worried, you can use the website chat / email to contact us). This part is important: after you have completed your first order, please ensure that every future order has "Farm pick up" checked in the check out, so you are not charged for multiple shipping. You must email us including all your previous order numbers so we know which orders go with which, please and thank you! This is really helpful for us on our end.

RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

Product Satisfaction

We really value you and we want you to be happy. HOWEVER, OUR TUBERS MAY NOT LOOK INSTAGRAM PRETTY/ BE HUGE / UNFORM in shape (remember, the tubers are not the supermodels, the flowers are!) There may be digging scars on the tuber, or funny growing shapes. It will not affect the plant and how it grows. Please remember the size or shape of your tuber does not equate to the health and vigour of your plant. Nature is nature and social media can be misleading!

Once you have excitedly unboxed your order, you must inspect your tubers immediately and email us within 2 days (with photos) if there happens to be any damage from shipping. Once the 2 days have passed, you accept full responsibility for your tubers. Please understand we are not responsible for damage due to bad weather, pests, rot, poor field conditions, negligence / improper storage or plant performance once you are planted.

 

We take accurate labeling seriously here at our farm, but sometimes a mislabel can squeak through. If your dahlia blooms and it’s not the variety you ordered, please contact us with photos of your dug up tuber. We use a special garden sharpie to label the tuber so it will not wear off once planted and watered. The pictures + the tuber name will assist us in fixing the mistake. Hot tip: make sure you label your dahlias as you plant and again around the base of the plant using these once they have bloomed (for variety confirmation) and a solid growing stalk. You wont regret this!

 

If you need to delay planting, store the tubers in a cool/dark place, between 5-7°C with the packaging open so that moisture does not build up. Most fridges work good in a pinch. Your package will also come with planting instructions. Here on the farm, we like to pre sprout our tubers before we plant them in the ground by bringing them into a warm space to "wake the tuber up" and encourage that eye to sprout. We like planting with a little bit of insurance! If your tuber does not sprout green 6 weeks after arrival, please contact us immediately via emailPlease send photos! We cannot refund the cost of your tuber if it has rotted in the ground.

Refunds​

According to the American Dahlia Society, an average of 87% of healthy, asymptomatic dahlia plants carry at least one dormant virus. We do our best to keep our plants healthy and virus free. We are vigilant about examining plants for viruses during the growing season and culling any should they look diseased. Additionally, we are not a u-pick. We are not able to guarantee that every plant is virus free, as many plants may host one or more viruses but have little or no symptoms. Buyers buy at their own risk knowing and understanding this information. We do not guarantee a refund for plants displaying viruses. Virus and disease can be present in your own environment and be easily spread by insects. It's almost impossible to find the source of origin for viruses. We will refund the cost of your tuber (minus the shipping cost), if there happens to be no growing eye. Please remember it can take some time for the tuber to grow - as each variety has their own schedule! Much like humans and pets, some can be very stubborn. Need be, a refund will be processed promptly through our website. We aim to see you a happy camper.
